Idea: Let prospect students know when a class has been created

Direct targeted e-mail can be one of the most effective ways to get students to sign up for classes. One way to do this is to have a button on the classes section for students to press. It can say something like “Click here to let you know when a new class has been created” or something like that.

Of course, I don’t think anybody would want to know about EVERY class that’s created in eduFire, just the ones they are interested. For example, if a student is looking to learn say Spanish, we can have a button on the list of Spanish classes that the student can press somewhere to get updates.

That way whenever a Spanish class is created or updated, that student can be automatically know about it and sign up for it if he or she wishes. This should always include a link to unsubscribe at the end.

The same can be done with all other topics. This wouldn’t be at all spam because the student wants to learn about the topic and he or she decided to join.
