(At least in American culture), in most private tutoring situations, people would leave tips when meeting face to face. I think it would be cool to give students the option to leave tips for their teachers (only if they wanted), or (even better) give teachers the ability to choose whether or not they want to give the ability to students to tip them.

For example, I would probably not give the ability for one-to-one students to give tips, just because I don’t want to put pressure on an individual to tip me, but for one-to-many lessons, which will be very inexpensive for my students, I want to give the option for a tip, since there’s a bunch of people, and it’s so inexpensive already, that a tip wouldn’t be too bad.
