Looks like you guys have not been scrawling very much. I will start with the book that is recommended. I hope all of you are still participating in this group.

Opera for the win!

So, I’ve figured out that it’s not Adobe, like I suspected. Apparently, Firefox with the newest release of Ubuntu (Jaunty)—I’m using the REMIX on my netbook—can, sometimes, have flash issues.

Personally, I couldn’t play videos on youtube or any other site.

I tried installing the Adobe alternative (Gnash) but nothing worked, until I switched to Opera.

With Opera, everything on edufire seems to work for me.

I’m also going to do the 200 squats and 200 situps—once I’m not tired from my pushups earlier!

I just did the initial test: 35 and I was exhausted.

It’s kind of embarrassing. I used to do competitive weight lifting and tae kwon do and could easily hit 100.

Well I don’t know anything yet, but there was an Adobe Flash 10 update in my thing today. I’ll know on the 7th whether or not it is working for me.

I wasn’t able to get my netbook—running Ubuntu Remix (with all the latest updates)—to connect at all. It said that everything was installed, but the page would never load.

I’m going to try again for my next class, but I’ll have my MAC with me as a safety net.

I would think that generally the people learning here are on the younger end of the spectrum. 20 somethings. But that’s just a guess and from what I have seen.
