Salvete, omnes! I didn’t know in which of the forums to post this, so it ended up here… :) This time I’m not introducing myself, but boasting a little about my ‘great achievement’ (drum roll please): three Flash Card sets ready to be played by YOU ALL. Because, even if the target language is Latin, these actually test general knowledge: common Latin phrases that have entered everyday use, a couple of witty proverbs and some famous quotes! And because I’m already in a geeky and bookish mood, I’m going to share a couple of mottos that I find suitable: - for students: “Non scholae, sed vitae discimus.” If you want to find out what it means, just play the games: http://edufire.com/games/flashcards/1664-english-latin-flashcards-latin-phrases- I will be adding some vocabulary Flash cards for people who do study Latin, but in the meantime, just have fun with these! :) Sandra PS: As you may have guessed, the two words at the beginning of this post mean “Hello, everybody!” :) |

Why, thank you! :) They were really easy and fun to create! I’ll make some for Romanian too, once I figure it out if and how I can write the special characters… :D |

Where would we be without Latin! They’re great Sandra! Thanks! :) |

We’d be speaking languages derived from Ancient Greek, I guess… :p By the way, did you read my post on the flag which represents Latin (posted in Talk with eduFire)? |
