Czech, anyone?

Hello there!
I have just discovered this great web site, thanks for setting it up :)! My name is Oliver and I would like to teach beginners the both beautiful and challenging Czech language. I am not a native speaker, however, since my mother tongue is German but I have studied it for 2.5 years so far and I have been living in the Czech Republic for eight months now on my year abroad at the local university. Of course I would also love to teach German or English!

Nope sorry. :) But, welcome to the site! I’m sure you’ll find some other Czech speakers soon. There are definitely German students who will be interested in your skills.

Welcome, Oliver! We need tutors that teach Czech and any others. I’m still waiting for an Hawaiian tutor. Maybe someday I’ll learn some German, since I am half German, but I have enough on my plate for now. I always keep my ears open around my town for people who need lessons in languages and then I refer them to Edufire. I hope you have a good experience here, Everyone is very helpful and friendly. Prijemne slyset, kdyz nekdo rika, ze cesky jazyk je pekny! Jo, je to fakt! Moje rodina bydli v Praze, a jsem uplne zamilovany v tohle mesto! Sam cesky dobre nemluvim, ale byl jsem na navsteve nekolikkrat, a neco muzu rict!

Ich versuche, Tschechen zu sprechen, aber er klingt immer wie Russe.

No ale dobre mluvis cesky, Yuriye! Snad mluvis lip nez ja, kdyz mas v Praze rodinu.. Jsem taky zamilovany do toho mesta :) Tak jestli tam nahodou budes, napis me, treba se uvidime.

Russisch und Tschechisch, das ist schon ein wenig ähnlich ;). Kennst du Tschechen, warst du schon einmal in Tschechien, Obi?

Welcome Oliver, one of my best friends in elementary school was from the Czech Republic. She spoke it fluently. She was only at my school for a couple of years, loved the language then. She was my first experience with another language (outside of Spanish). Have not heard it since.
