First of all, I think it’s a great idea to have each language represented by the flag of the country in which it is spoken! :) But then, let me point out this one error that I’ve seen: the icon for Latin. I can understand why you’ve used the Italian flag, but that’s not very (politically) correct… Since Ancient Rome did not have any official flag, you might use either the current flag of Vatican City (since the Holy See still uses Latin in its official documents) or some kind of Roman emblem, perhaps the S.P.Q.R. acronym that represented the authority of Rome… Here are a couple of images you can use: Vatican City flag: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Image:Flag_of_the_Vatican_City.svg or Ancient Rome emblem: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Image:Vexilloid_of_the_Roman_Empire.svg I really hope you will take this into consideration! :) Thanks! :) PS: I’d personally use the S.P.Q.R. one (perhaps crop the golden on red part of the above picture!), but the Vatican flag is ok too! :) |

Sandra, I replied to this via a site message to you. The summary is that both the suggestions you have have too much detail to make an effective flag for our site so we turned it off for now. Scott |
