Hi I have been having alot of echoing going on during my sessions this week. |

|
Is this occurring when the student does not have a headset? I had this problem and it was eliminated once I got a headset. |

Two things to check: 1 – (As Alfia mentioned) Were you both on headsets? 2 – Was there latency on the network? This usually occurs when (a) one or both of the participants were downloading/uploading lots of data on their network or (b) when one or both of the participants are outside of North America. Sometimes international connections are fine but we have run into some occasional problems and are working to remedy them. |

In addition to the above, if one user has a system with many items running in the background, common with older computers that have have many programs installed, the connection between you both won’t be as clean as it could be and may also be a cause for an echo. |

Headsets, headsets, headsets…that has been my experience…if you don’t both have them, the experience is not as nice. |

Liz is right! I’ve been a Skype user since it’s first Beta in 2002 and even to this day a headset is the only real solution. :) |

Although my students and I always use headsets I also experienced a long delay several times during the sessions. I then turned off the video as did my students and it was a bit better. But still, there is an echo…. |
