6. Give quiet students special encouragement. Quiet students are not necessarily uninvolved, so avoid excessive efforts to draw them out. Some quiet students, though, are just waiting for a nonthreatening opportunity to speak. To help these students, consider the following strategies:

a) Arrange small group (two to four students) discussions.

b) Pose casual questions that don’t call for a detailed correct response:
