. I do think that there is an old device called ( black board ) which is no longer black.

In fact a chalk board is one of the most useful visaul aid why ? :

1. It is available in every classroom.

2. It is easily maitained, just a piece of chalk or a marker can do the task perfectly .

3. It is devoid of any technical complexity.

4. a teacher can demonstrate everything on it as date , topics , homework assignments.

5. whatis more important is that he can teach some kinds of prepositions by displaying some simple drawing on that device

as directions movements up and down etc …

6. This device can be used to encourage dull or slow learners participate, because a great number of them happen to be skillful at drawing. once one of them is asked to come to the board and draw something , he actually will bounce on the chance to show his skill . and as a result this will be a good incentive for him /her to like the language .

Another fabulous post Fikry.

Black boards were great! Visual learning is really important. If anyone hasn’t tried mindmaps then they’re worth a look. The best form of learning involves using as many senses as possible. Mind maps go towards this somewhat.

Great work Fikry. :)

When you are learning a new topic, it is always a good idea to keep a record of KLW
(what I know already, what I have learned, and what I still want to know or learn.)
When learning a new language, yes, you should use every modality: seeing, saying, hearing, feeling, connecting words with performance, which is kinetic, etc.)
Yes, Marco, that is a great idea to use mind maps! You can also use mind maps to connect the words you know to the sentences you can write and speak, too. ie. banana———- I bought two bananas at the store——— I ate one banana——— I gave the other banana to my monkey. My monkey ate the banana and wanted more. etc. You will be amazed at how much you have learned and can do when you look back on the records you have kept. This, in turn, encourages you to keep going.
