Hi, I recently joined edufire, and I’ve noticed that the sessions are 60 minutes long. I have many years experience teaching, and my lessons have always been 90 minutes. My internal clock tells me when to wind down and start closing the shop…..that’s nearing the 90 minute mark. In the 60 monute mark, I’m in the middle of the most important. Any suggestions on this. Maybe adding another choice….90 minutes? Another point, but I personally haven’t had much experience in this, is: A 90 minute class one on one is different from a 90 minute class online. Feedback is welcome |

I agree with you Enrique. I think they can make it as 2 options 60 or 90 minutes sessions. And the student also does not have to pay for an hour after the first 60 minutes. He can pay every 30 minutes after the first 60 minutes. Welcome to our wonderful Edufire. Enjoy it! |

Hi Dr. Hamdy! Good idea making payments every 30 minutes after the initial 60 minute session. |

Great ideas Enrique and Hamdy! You may want to browse through the Ideas Board and perhaps even propose this as one? Keep the ideas flowing :) |

Great idea!! Welcome to eduFire!! |

I like your suggestion, Dr. Hamdy, with the 2 options for students. I would also sometimes prefer having more time than just the 60 Min. How does payment work yet for students that would rather have 90 mins than the 60 mins? Do they have to book two separate sessions? |

Claudia, the ideal would be to have 2 options 60 minutes and 90 minutes |
|

3rd option for 45 minutes too? That way a double lesson could be 90 minutes. What do you think? |

Marco. If you give a 45 minute option, the students might go for it instead of the 60 minutes. I agree with Dr. Hamdy’s idea of 60 minutes, 90 minutes, and 30 minute increments after the 60 minutes |

Enrique, I got that point with the option of either a 60 or a 90 mins session. |

Claudia, there is no option now……now, its only 60 minutes. I’m proposing to include another option, which would be a 90 minute option. |

Hey Enrique. We spent a lot of time discussing this when we were rolling out eduFire. Most (but not all) of the tutors we were talking to as we developed the service were teaching lessons in one-hour increments. We wanted to keep the service fairly simple in the early stages so we went with one-hour lessons as the only option. It has worked fairly well so far although I agree that having some more flexibility would be nice. It’s something we have under consideration for the next version of the product. And definitely add it to the Ideas board. That’s the best way for people to discuss and vote on ideas like this! |
