Hey guys…I ran this by Jon first…I wanted to let you all know I can now get ALL Rosetta Stone language programs for half price! Seriously… I know as far as teaching English, they work great to reinforce alot of lessons. I almost use them as my students’ language labs.

Let me know if you need any for yourself or your students!

I’m Jon Bischke and I approved this ad.

(Sorry, after watching all the presidential ads lately I’ve been dying to say that!)

Thanks for making this available to our community Raquel. As a Pimsleur user in the past I can vouch for the fact that it’s a great way to learn a language (when combined with eduFire tutors of course!!!).

Absolutely, Jon…with an Edufire tutor, of course! As I said, I like them simply to reinforce what they are already learning and to practice pronunciation on there own as “homework”!

Niiiice Jon, could you please run for Pres.? I’d vote for ya!

You’re welcome Sandra! That’s what “connections” in this world are all about…to HELP eachother! That’s how I roll.

I will start saving up for that!!! What does it usually cost? I am interested in Spanish and Turkish, but have to do some saving to take advantage. We have had some unexpected medical expenses lately.

I was looking online and the Spanish set for level 1, 2 & 3 together is about $550, and Turkish for level 1 is $219. That would be a huge savings at half off. They only have level 1 in Turkish though, grrr.

Is Rosetta Stone ever going to do Swedish Level II? Well if I’m learning here I shouldn’t need it I guess. But just curious.

I don’t want to be negative, but Rosetta Stone isn’t all that great. Sure, it can teach you quite some vocab, but it has very limited grammar (for Spanish there are onmly 3 or 4 tenses covered in ALL levels, that’s ridiculous).

So personally, I’d save that $550/$225 dollar and spend it on some good books and movies in your target language. If you watch those enough you’ll learn even more I think, and at least have a better time.

Hey Jon T. I’ll ask this week about Swedish Level II for you! Seriously, Rosetta isn’t for advanced learners…it’s to get you started and it is great because it is visual, audio and repeating….it really helps my ESL students to keep practicing on their own besides being tutored as well.
