We just added a super cool new whiteboard to eduFire. Blog post detailing it here:

Whiteboard

As I said in the blog post, if you’re currently doing sessions on the site as a tutor or a student we’d love to hear your feedback on the whiteboard. And if you’re not consider this the perfect excuse to try a session!

Thanks to all of you who suggested this feature here on the forums and on the Ideas Board!

Hi

That’s great!! I didn’t see it when I had my session with Kurt yesterday!
I hope to use it very soon!!!

I understand that I was selected Tutor of the Month?

I would love for people to come by and try it out with me.

The whiteboard is an excellent tool for tutoring sessions. It allows you to see words and phrases you are learning as you go along and that fact that you can print it out afterwards as a chat log is value added.

I have used the whiteboard to teach shapes and colors pretty easily. I’d love to be able to create a simple map with buildings representing a house, restaurant, school, church, etc. to teach building names and directions in Spanish or English. I notice you can’t prepare the whiteboard before the session begins, but have to wait until both people are in the room.

What else have you used the whiteboard to teach?
